On April 19, 2025, at the University of Water Resources, the Faculty of Information Technology of the University of Water Resources collaborated with the Faculty of IT, University of Transport and Communications (UTC), the Blockchain Student Club of the University of Transport and Communications, and the Blockchain Alliance of Vietnamese Universities (UBA) to successfully organize Workshop 02 with the theme “Building on Cardano: Ecosystem & Innovation”. The event attracted the attention and participation of many lecturers, students and experts in the field of blockchain.
The workshop is an activity in a series of specialized events launched by UTC, a member of UBA, to bring blockchain technology closer to the academic environment, especially the community of students and lecturers at universities. At the event, participants were introduced to the Cardano blockchain platform, application technologies, as well as innovative trends in the Web3 ecosystem.
In addition, interactive activities such as minigames, group discussions and exchanges with speakers created a lively and open atmosphere. The workshop saw the participation and sharing of many industry experts, including:
- Dr. Do Ngoc Minh – Chairman of the Blockchain Alliance of Universities (UBA)
- Dr. Hoang Van Thong, Head of IT Faculty, University of Transport and Communications (UTC), UBA member
- MSc. Trinh Van Chung, in charge of IT Faculty, Nguyen Trai University, UBA member
- Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu – Co-founder of C2VN
- Mr. Nguyen Viet Thanh – CEO of VTC Academy
In particular, the event marked an important milestone when the Faculty of Information Technology – University of Water Resources and the Blockchain Alliance of Vietnamese Universities (UBA) officially signed a memorandum of cooperation. This agreement aims to promote cooperative training and research activities on blockchain technology, organize academic – technology playgrounds for students, and deeply connect schools – businesses – experts in the field of Web3.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Hung – Head of the Faculty of Information Technology – affirmed:
“We want to bring an open academic space, helping students access new technologies, develop creative thinking and deeply connect with the technology community.”
