On the afternoon of June 21, 2024, UBA (Blockchain Alliance in Universities) and Binance Academy continued their series of Web3 sharing events at the University of Economics and Technology for Industries. This is the second university in the series of events organized by UBA and Binance Academy, aiming to raise awareness and knowledge about Web3 technology for faculty and students.
Conference Content
The workshop began with an overview of Web3 technology and its potential to change how the Internet operates today. Representatives from Binance Academy shared detailed information about various aspects of Web3, from basic to advanced, helping attendees gain a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of this technology.
1. Binance Academy’s Presentation
Binance Academy presented on the basic concepts and applications of Web3 in life and business. Highlights of the presentation included:
- Introduction to Web3 and its main components such as Blockchain, smart contracts, and DeFi (decentralized finance).
- Benefits of Web3 for users and businesses, especially regarding data control and digital assets.

2. Presentation by Students from the University of Transport Technology
A special feature of this workshop was the presentation by a student from the University of Transport Technology on the topic “The Entrepreneurial Journey on Cardano Blockchain’s Catalyst.” This student shared their experience participating in and starting a business on the Catalyst platform – an ecosystem for startups and innovation on the Cardano Blockchain. The main content shared included:
- Introduction to the Catalyst platform and how it works.
- The process of participating in and developing a startup project on Catalyst.
- Challenges and lessons learned from the entrepreneurial journey on Cardano Blockchain.
