In the vibrant landscape of the Blockchain community within Vietnamese universities, the Blockchain Club of the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) is increasingly asserting its pioneering role and stands as a clear testament to the sustainable development of the University Blockchain Alliance (UBA).
Recently, the Blockchain Pioneer Student Club of UTC collaborated with the Faculty of Information Technology to successfully organize the Cardano Blockchain Hackathon 2025 – an intellectual and innovative playground on a national scale, attracting dozens of teams from major high schools and universities across the country.
Notably, UTC was not only the organizing unit but also the school with the most outstanding achievements at this Hackathon, with 7 teams making it into the TOP 15, including 5 teams winning prizes in both the Main Track and Student Track categories – an impressive result demonstrating the depth and serious investment in the student blockchain movement.
In particular, the Blockchain Club of UTC is the “sweet fruit” from the long-term companionship and support of the UBA faculty. From the very beginning, UBA members – in their roles as lecturers and advisors – have stood side-by-side with UTC students in forming, building development orientations, and organizing activities for the Club. As a result, the Club not only maintains regular activities but also creates many practical values: connecting students with new technologies, promoting blockchain application research, and becoming a bridge between the school, students, and the Vietnamese blockchain ecosystem.
At the Cardano Blockchain Hackathon 2025, teams from the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) made a strong impression with a series of awards in both competition categories:

Project: Decentralized model training system for AI programmers in the Cardano ecosystem.
Prize Value: 100,000,000 VND -
Second Prize – MedID Team
Project: Decentralized identification application in medical record management and storage.
Prize Value: 60,000,000 VND -
Third Prize – Degig Team
Project: Decentralized freelance platform on Cardano, integrating escrow contracts and transparent dispute resolution.

With a total of 5 teams winning official prizes and many teams reaching the finals, this is a clear testament to the maturity and outstanding potential of the UTC student community in the blockchain field.
UTC – A core member, contributing to building a sustainable UBA ecosystem
Over the past time, the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Transport and Communications has not only been one of the most active core members of UBA, regularly participating in lecturer training programs and professional seminars, but has also been a pioneer in building a strong and well-organized blockchain technology student movement.
The growth of the UTC Blockchain Club is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of the lecturer-student companionship model that UBA aims for. This will be a model for other member schools to refer to, learn from, and replicate.
